Corrumbine Creek Trail

Along the Corrumbine Creek Trail is a very nice waterfall that hosts some excellent engravings including this life-size figure. This is a false colour image.

Figure

This is a false colour image of a 4 metre long engraving of a whale that has a small male figure within. The figure is carrying some kind of club across the waist and is wearing a high head dress. This engraving lies in a wide runnel and after heavy rain the water coming down the creek flows over giving the impression that the whale might be swimming upstream.

About 2.5 km further down the track this controversial beast can be found. The head end of this detailed 7 meter whale has been photographed and fallaciously reported to be an alien spaceship by proponents of the infamous ‘Kariong Glyphs’, near the Bambara Road engraving site. This is a false colour image.

I think the figure inside the whale is swimming, and the object around his waist is a net or bag for the fish that the swimmer catches.
